Abstract
Fenomena likuifaksi biasanya terjadi sesaat dan setelah gempa bumi. Gelombang seismik merambat melalui tanah dan menggerakkan partikel tanah jenuh. Akibat pergerakan ini, tekanan air pori mengalami peningkatan. Saat peningkatan tekanan air pori mencapai tekanan overburden, selanjutnya tanah akan kehilangan kekuatan gesernya dan berperilaku sebagai viscous liquid. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perilaku partikel berpori saat menerima beban seismik. Pengujian dilakukan dengan alat shaking table. Ada dua amplitudo beban siklik yang digunakan: 0,35g durasi 7 detik dan 0,38g durasi 20 detik. Untuk membuat model uji digunakan metode dry pluviation dengan kerapatan relatif 30%. Hasil uji shaking table menunjukkan bahwa fenomena likuifaksi tidak terjadi pada aplikasi kedua beban siklik. Akibat beban siklik, partikel pumice mengalami degradasi.
