Abstract
Pada daerah rawan gempa, struktur bangunan harus dirancang dengan desain yang teliti dan struktur terbangun dengan material yang kuat dan tahan gempa. Saat ini bangunan Hotel Sutan Raja Mataram menggunakan sistem struktur beton bertulang dan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan terhadap beban terutama gempa, maka direncanakan ulang dengan struktur komposit baja-beton dan dengan penambahan isolasi dasar. Bangunan terdiri atas delapan lantai. Bangunan eksisting menggunakan mutu beton 30 MPa dan bangunan komposit menggunakan baja profil mutu BJ 41 dengan tegangan leleh sebesar 250 MPa dan tegangan ultimit sebesar 410 MPa. Bangunan komposit direncanakan dengan isolasi dasar tipe High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa struktur komposit baja-beton dengan isolasi dasar sangat mempengaruhi parameter desain bangunan meliputi pengurangan berat struktur, perpanjangan periode getaran struktur, pengurangan gaya geser dasar struktur dan pengurangan nilai penyimpangan antar lantai maksimum sebesar berturut-turut 35%, 61.8%, 63.7%, dan 49.8% bila dibandingkan dengan struktur eksisting.
