Abstract
Peralihan dari kendaraan pribadi ke angkutan umum merupakan salah satu solusi dalam mengurangi kemacetan di Kota Palangka Raya. Untuk itu perlu diketahui kriteria-kriteria yang dapat mengalihkan penggunaan angkutan umum, seperti kondisi sosial dan ekonomi pengguna jasa angkutan, biaya, waktu tunggu dan waktu perjalanan. Hal ini akan memengaruhi seseorang dalam memilih moda transportasi yang akan digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan antara variabel yang mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan dalam pemilihan moda transportasi di Kota Palangka Raya. Survei dilaksanakan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 responden berisi karakteristik umum dan karakteristik perjalanan responden, meliputi kondisi sosio-ekonomi, dengan atribut selisih biaya perjalanan, selisih waktu tunggu, dan selisih waktu tempuh. Berdasarkan hasil uji tabulasi silang tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antar variabel penelitian yang di uji. Menurut hasil analisis korelasi dan determinasi yang dilakukan terhadap data dengan tiga macam atribut diperoleh hasil untuk atribut biaya perjalanan R = 0,889 dan R2 = 70,2%, untuk atribut waktu tunggu R = 0,881 dan R2 = 70,2%, dan untuk waktu tempuh R = 0,904 dan R2 = 75,5%. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t didapatkan t hitung > t tabel dan signifikan < dari 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh antara variabel terhadap pemilihan moda transportasi secara signifikan.
