Abstract
Di daerah perkotaan, dimana jumlah penduduk semakin besar dan kepadatan semakin tinggi, perlu dikembangkan pengelolaan sampah dengan konsep pengelolaan sampah secara terpadu untuk mengurangi laju timbulan sampah dari sumber.
Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memperoleh data jumlah timbulan sampah serta komposisi sampah di Kelurahan Karang Pule. Data ini digunakan untuk merencanakan tempat pengolahan sampah dengan konsep berbasis 3R.
Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata – rata volume timbulan sampah yang ada di Kelurahan Karang Pule adalah sebesar 0,0045 m3/orang/hari dan 0,0262 m3/warung/hari besar timbulan sampah adalah sebesar 66,81 m3/hari dengan komposisi sampah di Karang Pule ialah 62,72% sampah organik, 15,33% sampah anorganik daurulang, 18,32% sampah anorganik tidak didaurulang, dan 3,14% sampah Bahan Beracun Berbahaya (B3). Luas lahan yang digunakan sebagai TPS3R sebesar 805 m2 . metode pengomposan yang digunakan adalah metode Aerator bambu dengan jumlah Aerator sebanyak 34 unit. Pengumpulan dan pengangkutan menggunakan 9 unit gerobak
